This year, I'm again offering 41 people the gift of 90-min coaching, as a way to honor my mom.
41. A prime number. The number of years that I was blessed to have her.
Mom was a math teacher. And my hero.
Being a working mom at a time when most women were expected to take care of housework meant that she was juggling a lot. Yet, as far as I can remember, she did it all with patience and grace. As a teacher, she cared deeply about her students. I remember her working so hard to find creative and unique ways to motivate that one person who wasn’t enjoying math. At times, her students, often those who graduated years ago, would stop us on the street to thank her. And as a mom, she was always there for me, in big ways and small. Her love wasn’t something that was often said out loud, but something that was always present and felt.
I miss Mom. Her kindness, her determination, her smile, her guidance, and her love. I wouldn't be who I am today without her, and I wish I could thank her again in some way.
So, one year, I started to offer coaching support to people as a gift, as a way to honor her.
It turned out to be such an amazing experience for me as well. I met so many incredible people - some were stretching to achieve audacious goals with their teams, some were looking to land a new role post layoff, and some were aiming for life-long dreams that had been put off for too long. Resilient, compassionate, and hard-working people.
And I’d hear back some time later, about what stood out from that single conversation - whether it’s a shift in perspective around the relationship with a difficult manager/executive, a tool to quiet the inner negative criticism, or a mindset to hold as an effective leader - and how that had a lasting impact months or even years later. Some shared that they negotiated a raise, got promoted, landed a new job, or showed up differently with confidence.
So, if you can use support on your journey right now, book a session below. If you don't see a good time for you, please try signing up for the waitlist, and I'll reach out if spots open up.
